Introduction to the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist, with a strong focus on CNC Lathe programming and set-up, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to producing high-precision components to exacting standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC Okuma Lathes to produce precision firearm components
- Ensure parts meet all cosmetic and dimensional specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and G/M code (Fanuc)
- Follow established processes and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and support production goals
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a machinist
- Must have experience setting up and programming CNC Okuma Lathes
- Experience with manual lathes and mills is a plus
- CNC Mill experience is desirable
- Job shop experience is desirable
- CAM software experience is desirable
- Dual turret system experience is desirable
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail in both dimensions and finish
- Ability to develop and refine machining processes
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
